Kadwa is the slow way. Each motif is woven individually, on its own, so that nothing floats loose behind the fabric. Weavers measure this work in weeks. To that, this saree adds Tilfi minakari — fine coloured threads brought into the motifs so they glow softly against the pure Katan ground. The Nardar border frames it without competing. Turn the saree over and you will see the discipline of the technique as clearly as on the front. The pastel keeps all this craft gentle.
